What we keep, and what we don't.

What we collect

• Your email, if you join the waitlist.Only the address. No name, no account, no password. We use it for one thing: to write when Even Measure opens.
• Recipes you bring in.When you paste a link or recipe text into the try-it, it goes to our server and on to Google's Gemini, which reads it into ingredients and steps so our engine can scale it. For a link, our server opens the page to read it. For a video link, it may fetch the video's captions or transcript. We don't record who sent what.
• What every website sees.Your IP address reaches our server with each request. We use it for a short while to stop abuse, such as too many recipe reads or signups from one connection, and our host keeps brief request logs.
• What stays on your device.The theme you pick and whether you've joined the list are saved in your browser's local storage. Recipes you try here are kept in session storage, for this tab only, and vanish when you close it. We set no cookies.

There are no ads here, no analytics, and no trackers. The fonts come from our own server, not a font service.

Who handles it

A few companies do part of the work for us. Each one sees only what its job needs.

Vercel

Hosts this site and runs our server.Sees: every request, with its IP address, in short-lived logs.

Google

Gemini reads the recipes you bring in.Sees: the link's page or the text you pasted. Nothing that names you.

Resend

Keeps the waitlist and will send the one email.Sees: your email address.

Supabase

When it's switched on, it caches recipes read from links, so the next person who brings the same link gets it faster.Sees: the link and the recipe read from it. Not who asked.

How long we keep it

• Your waitlist emailuntil you ask us to remove it, or until we close the list after launch.
• A recipe read from a linkstays in the cache for 7 days (30 for social video links), then expires.
• Recipe text you pasteisn't saved by us after it's read. Google may hold what it reads for a limited time under the Gemini API terms, to watch for abuse.
• Request logsare kept by Vercel for a few days at most.

Taking yourself off

Reply to our email, or write to support@evenmeasure.app from the address you signed up with. We'll remove it from the list and tell you when it's done.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can object to how we use it. Write to us and we'll answer within a month, usually much sooner. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

If this page changes, we'll change the date at the top. If it changes how we use an email you gave us, we'll tell you first.
